Social media is no longer a one-way communication lane, it now affords for users and prospects to contact your business directly through messenger which means…. MORE LEADS. However, the most difficult thing about finding leads on social media is connecting with the right people online. The best thing to do is to narrow down your target audience through hashtags and using keywords. Do some research on what these keywords and hashtags should be and what the latest trends in your industry are to make the most out of your lead generation efforts in the field of social media. If you haven’t already, get your YouTube channel up and running ASAP. We have said it before, but we will say it again, video is bringing in far more leads than photos now. According to Alexa, YouTube is the second most trafficked site after Google, so your business needs to be found there as well as on Google. Videos that introduce your service are an excellent way to get started and have been known to increase lead generation. When you start your YouTube page (if you haven’t already) it is best to ensure that you have at least 5 videos to upload when you create your channel so anyone that goes on your page can see you are fairly active.


Marketing automation sales funnel

As soon as you get an email address from a prospect that address should be put straight into an autoresponder that sends them content regularly as they move through your sales funnel. You also need to ensure that the messages that these prospects are receiving are tailored to them by name and target their specific interests. This way by the time as you contact them personally, they are impressed with your brand and your job of closing the deal is made much easier.


Cold calling is not dead

For years cold calling has been one of the driving forces for lead generation, many have said that this old method will soon be on the decline but that has yet to happen. Do not make the mistake of leaving out this important component in your lead generation strategy. With cold calling you receive instant feedback from your pitch and you can adjust accordingly when things go wrong. Talking to someone of the phone develops an instant human connection that cannot be emulates in other mediums. Sharing experiences and finding a common interest allows the sales person to build credibility and trust in your brand.

Email marketing has always formed a large part of internet marketing and lead generation. It remains an effective strategy as it allows direct access to your audience while keeping costs down. However, as inboxes become increasingly crowded it becomes more and more difficult to reach people there, so you have to make sure that your emails are personalised and that they stand out!
